Random Act Of Kindness Day! GIVEAWAY!!!

Did you know that tomorrow is Random Acts of Kindness Day??? Love that.

I've decided that to make up for my some what sarcastic (but honest) post yesterday I will have a giveway to celebrate. All you have to do is one random act of kindness for me. Leave me a comment telling me what you cooked for dinner tonight or what you are cooking for dinner tomorrow night. I'm not kidding. I'm running out of ideas over here and I'm seriously tired of making the same thing over and over. So tell me what your making and tomorrow (late night) I will pick a random number and the winner will be chosen. If you want to double your chances just link this giveaway on your own blog and leave a second comment telling me about it.

The winner will receive a personalized Memo Holder. They are brand new and super cool!

  2. on, you will be disappointed in my comment. I cooked grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner because I am out of food. I even used the last three slices of cheese on them! Don't know yet about tomorrow night.

  3. We cooked the quick and easy soft tacos tonight! They sure were yummy with all the goods that go with them!!!

  4. We went out to eat tonight and I have a meeting at church tomorrow night, so it will be "quick food" then. But, my hubby cooked delicious Chicken Picatta on Saturday night and I will probably eat the leftovers tomorrow at lunch. :-)

  5. i think tomorrow night we are going to have quesadillas (cheese and chicken) and Homemade Gourmet's Maria's Salsa and some quac. Quick and easy (i steam the chicken in one of those microave steamer bags with seasoning). {tonight we had leftovers -- boring!) And i think this post was a great idea - i frequently run out of ideas for dinner!

  6. We are going to have "homemade" pizzas tomorrow night. I will buy crusts, then put out a bunch of toppings and the kiddos can make their own pizzas. I find that if I do this, they are more likely to eat dinner:) Tonight was carry out!

  7. We had yummy grilled chicken with grilled new potatoes, corn on the cob, and rolls. Who knows what is for dinner tomorrow. I always wished I could be a meal planner and plan out meals for the week, but we just play it day by day. :)

  8. Tonight was BBQ Chicken in the crockpot, sweet potatoes, Annies organic white cheddar shells (kids weren't NEAR as excited as they are when it's mac from the blue box), steamed broccoli and salad.
p.s. Got a new crockpot and wanted to try it out...it practically fried my chicken! When it says "low" it actually means FIRE HOT!

  9. The hubby smoked some chicken breasts and I made the sides - (local) collard greens with carmelized onions and dried cherries, and sweet potatoes with whipped cinnamon honey. After the kids go to bed, we will be finishing the batch of Ina Garten's "outrageous brownies" with ice cream and chocolate sauce. Karen - look up this brownie recipe and put the baker to work!

  10. I made chicken nuggets and mac & cheese for the kids and a glass of wine for mom. Does that count? Hubby had a business dinner.

  11. I made a new recipe from the Food Network. It was Mustard Crusted Pork Tenderloin. I made a sweet/mustardy sauce that had fresh apples, pears and dried cherries. It was good. Pork Tenderloin is not too expensive and if you use Daddy Hinkle's it is EASY. PS. I want that note holder!!

  12. I going to cook lasagne! It is my mother-in-law's special recipe and my husband loves it!!

  19. This is so perfect because I just made my dinner list from a cookbook recipe- which I never do! But we will be having Basil Cream Chicken from the League cookbook, Oil and Vinegar. It should be far better than tonight's Papa John's- after 3 days home with the kids you do not get homemade around here!

  22. Here is an easy dinner I'm going to make for dinner. Cook your favorite pasta. We like penne or bowtie. Then I add a mix of a marinara sauce and a while sauce. Our favorite mix is Bertolli's Organic Olive Oil, Basil & Garlic with Clasico's Roasted Red Pepper Alfredo. You can add some sauteed vegetables if you would like. We often eat it just pasta and sauce. You can also serve garlic bread and a salad with it. I hate to cook, but I never mind making this. Hope this helps!

  27. SILLY ME!!!!!! My hubby is allergic to wheat so we are limited ... BUT .. we usually have a meat on the lean mean grill ... like today we will have TURKEY BURGERS .. no buns of course .. They are divine!!!! Then there is in the veggie section the steam bags of veggies ... Maddie loves the cut green beans or we might have Jolly Green Giant little corns that come in like a pack of 12 in the freezer section. I might also throw in some lima beans .. she thinks they are better beans like we have in the summer.:)

  30. We do the Monday night Mazzio's special too because the girls have dance that night and we don't get home until late! But, I'll tell you what I made Sunday night-sausage manicotti. I make it the night before so I don't have to cook the shells and they soften and are perfect the next night!

  33. chinese stir fry. it usually takes me about 45 minutes to cook this. and it's my very own recipe.

-1 pkg of stir fry beef
-1 pkg of beef broc, powder mix from the chinese section of the grocery store. (yellow and black package like gravy comes in)
-1 bag of mixed veggies (i like the one that has the snow peas)
-1 can baby corn (if you want extra)
-1 can chopped water chesnuts (if you want extra)
    -1 tbs olive oil
-1 bottle of house tsang stir fry sauce
    -1 box instant rice

cook beef in 1 tbs of olive oil and drain. pour in bag or however much veggies you like, cover and let steam. *add the baby corn and chesnuts here if you want extra of those*

while that is steaming, measure out the amount of water for the rice and boil/make as directions say.

in seperate bowl with a wisk mix the beef and broc powder with the 2/3 cups of water (i think that is what it says on the package) *don't follow the package directions, ONLY the water part*

when the beef and veggies are done and all are warm, pour in the beef and broc mix and stir til well coated. let that thicken for about 2 minutes and add the house of tsnag sauce until it makes extra juice. (just about half the bottle). cover and let simmer for about 10 minutes.

take the cooked rice and put desired amount on plate/bowl with salt and pepper to taste and then pour over the stir fry mix (with the juice if you like to soak your rice).

    and enjoy.

However, mine is good at cleaning up the mess-my least favorite part!! We had 3-way last night with my homemade chili and tonight we are having my homemade lasagna, french bread & broccoli and pears. :)

  42. What a great idea!!! I am not much of a cook, but I would love to win the prize, so here goes. Last night was dance, so we thought Arby's. Today, I actually remembered to thaw out some chicken. I just marinated it in herb and garlic marinade all day and grilled it on the George Foreman. We had cheese green beans and biscuits for sides. Tomorrow is going to be busy, so it will be loaded baked potatoes. I bake them, then everyone tops their own. And really, who didn't love "baked potato bar" day way back when? ;)

  43. I made broccoli and cheddar soup in bread bowls.

  44. Last night we had crockpot ham cooked/glazed in brown sugar, grean beans seasoned with butter & garlic (in another crockpot) and salad with homemade ranch dressing. It was fabulous! Tonight we just had leftovers because we got home late. Tomorrow's meal looks like it's going to be either chicken noodle and vegetable soup (also in the crockpot) or spaghetti with grilled chicken :) I just recently found out about you and after checking out your site I think I'm going to have to place some Mother's Day orders :)
