That Makes Me Happy

I think I've mentioned before that one of my favorite sayings is "that makes me happy."  I say it when I find the right outfit, when I see a cute puppy, when my husband offers to take the kids to school and lets me sleep in, when I get a new bag of sour gummy worms, when my kids act like they like each other, etc.  I've been saying it FOREVER.  In fact, when I was a teenager my mom got me a charm for my charm bracelet and had it engraved with those words.  I'm easily thrilled by the little things and this week there are two things that have made me say "THAT MAKES ME HAPPY!"

I won a new clutch purse in the Tickled Sew Pink Giveaway!  I never win anything so I was SUPER excited!  I LOVE it!!  It's so cute...way roomier than I thought it would be...and so summery!  It makes me happy!  Thanks, Terra!!

 

I have bad nails. They are weak and they split and I tend to ignore them for the most part.  However, I somehow came upon these Jamberry Nail wraps recently and thought I might give them a try.  There are so many cute options but I decided to go with polka dots.  You can't go wrong with polka dots, can you?  I'm not too old for polka dots, am I?  I did see my junior high cheerleading uniform in an antique store today with a tag that read "VINTAGE CHEERLEADING UNIFORM" so maybe I am too old for polka dots???  ANYWAY, they took me about 30 minutes to apply but I think it will take less time once I get the hang of it.  Don't look too closely...I should have given myself a little cuticle attention before applying them but I was just so anxious to try it out.  So far, they are making me happy!
