I heart PaperDoll customers!!!

I just wanted to say a great big HUGE thank you to all of my customers that have kept me so busy lately!!! Now that the teacher gift rush is over I can breathe a little bit and appreciate all my fabulous friends and paperdoll junkies!!! You are the greatest! I love my job.

The winner of the totally biased and unfair giveaway is...

Nora was reading through all the birthday wishes that were left on the giveaway when she recognized her good friend Lauren's Aunt. That was the end of the giveaway. No random numbers, no deliberation. Lauren's Aunt is the WINNER. She's the birthday girl and I said she could pick so that's that. Congrats Annie. She picked a market tote for the prize in her favorite color, turquoise. How is it possible that my daughter's favorite color is not pink????

Part 2...A cherry on top

I get a little obsessed with the details but I LOVE planning girly pink parties!!! The Ice Cream Sundae party was easy, inexpensive and so cute!!! No more birthdays around here until the Fall....I'm glad to have a little break.

Ice Cream Sundae Party...Part 1

We had so much fun at Nora's party! I've got so many pictures to share!

My parents have the cutest backyard so we decided to have it there. It was perfect. Isn't their backyard pretty?? Thanks Mom & Dad for hosting!!!

We hung paper buntings from the trees. I loved these because I didn't have to sew them! I used paper flags, ribbon & mini clothes pins. They were so fun and easy to make.

We recycled all the poms and lanterns from last years party and hung them in the trees.

The Birthday Girl made these cute pinwheels...lots of them....and stuck them everywhere!

An ice cream cone pinata!!

The "slipcovered" party horns...which I do NOT reccommend....LOUD....VERY LOUD!!!

We started out with crafts because all 7 year old girls love crafts, right??

We decorated journals (stole this idea from my friend Holly) and made vases of button flowers.

Nora was one happy girl!

The Lost Finale is on tonight....I'll have to share the food tomorrow!!!

Nora has had a great day. Birthday Fairies came to our fairy door and left a gift and fairy dust. She was so excited. We had donuts with pink candles, lots of presents from the whole family, her pick for lunch (pizza), her pick for dinner (mac and cheese) and we ended the day with chocolate cake and ice cream and lots of rain! How sweet it is to be seven!!!

Happy Birthday Nora Giveaway!!!

My baby girl will be seven tomorrow! Oh, how I love birthdays!! This girl has been talking about turning seven for months and months!! I want her day to be picture perfect. However, I know that I've lost it. I am fully aware that I have gone over the top. When you find yourself "slipcovering" tacky party horns at 2 am, you must come to terms with the fact that you have a problem. I know she probably won't notice that everything has a label on it and that all items are perfectly color coordinated but maybe some day she will remember fondly that her mommy went over the top crazy insane when planning birthday parties for her. Way too soon she will not want a cutesy ice cream sunday birthday party so for now I am going to enjoy it.

Cinderella

Here's a shout out to Miss Jennifer for making the entire audience cry at the dance recital this weekend. Nora's class danced to Cinderella and at the end of the dance their dad's appeared from backstage to twirl them around. As the song ended the girls blew their daddies kisses and walked away. I'm seriously tearing up thinking about it. Read the words and you'll cry too. If you don't, you're made of steal.
